AMI has prepared an assessment of the U.S. Navy’s
maritime strategy, A Cooperative Strategy for 21st Century Sea Power,
which points out several key issues the sea services will have to resolve to
assure their qualitative and technological advantages for the 21st century. One
particular challenge the sea services will face is creating and maintaining a
seamless and fully integrated maritime force with the appropriate force
structure to respond to a broad range of maritime challenges. We hope this
article serves to stimulate thinking and discussion.
