Naval Systems Projections Database
The Naval Systems Projections Database (NSPD) was
developed as an analytical tool to assist AMI in the production and update of
the Worldwide Naval Projections Report (WNPR) and the database has proven
to be invaluable in assessing future acquisition trends and price
estimates.
The NSPD is
maintained as a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet with over 130 fields of
market intelligence. The database contains assessments of the type of equipment
expected to be purchased for each of the programs described in WNPR, including
the details of anticipated weapon, sensor, and propulsion systems with pricing
estimates.
Currently,
the NSPD tracks over 400 ongoing or projected naval ship new construction
programs around the world. These 400+ programs represent over 2,200 ships that
will be built in the next 20 years, with a market value of over US$438 Billion.
Additionally, over 250 of these future programs are still not
awarded!
The ability
of Excel to manipulate this information makes the NSPD an indispensable
tool for clients as they assess their future market potential, and that of
their competitors, and develop realistic sales forecasts.
If future
market share is a question you need to answer, then the Naval Systems
Projections Database is your source for answers.
Existing Ships Database
This tool is being developed in Microsoft Access for the
purpose of assisting us in our studies about specific equipment market share.
To meet our goal of developing a useful tool, it forced us to supplement the
information we collected, so that for example, when we pose a question about
guns, we can organize the information by primary, secondary or tertiary guns or
only look at a particular caliber, manufacturer, ship type etc.
Additionally,
we have developed two detailed tables that can be accessed when viewing a
particular ship's equipment. The first is a missile database that enables one
to click on a particular ship missile and view the in-depth information
contained in our Missile Systems of the World database. The second functions in
a similar nature but is focused on radars.
During the
coming year we will be integrating ship line drawings, and also developing a
variant of this database in MS Excel. This is a working tool and as such is
continually being updated and improved.
Missile Systems of the World Database
The Worldwide Missile Database contains details on over
345 in-service missiles, along with a cross-reference for over 1,400 missile
names. For each missile, the database provides a textual description, history
of the missile's development, detailed technical specifications, identified
user countries, and individual equipment suppliers. Also, there are over 900
line drawings and pictures directly linked within the database. Since the
database is in Microsoft Access format, custom queries, to fit your
individual needs, are easily developed.
The Worldwide
Missile Database is the most comprehensive open-source database of its
kind, and is used by government agencies, defence and naval industry missile
manufacturers, and those who are in the launcher and ship design business. The
database is intended for corporate subscription use, with unlimited user
access, and is priced accordingly.
Worldwide Missiles
- On-Line
For those who
have been searching for a one-volume reference work covering all of the
missiles in the world, but do not need the functionality of a fully relational
database, our Worldwide Missiles - On-line is the solution.
All
information and technical data contained in the Missile Systems of the
World database is found in this product as well.
