Foreign Naval Market “In-Country Affiliate”

Key Role: In-country affiliates are persons who perform as “in-country naval experts” to assist AMI in staying abreast of regional naval maritime activities supporting new construction programs, modernization activities and maritime unmanned systems developments. Selected individuals will support AMI naval market analysts in the collection and analysis of information from in-country sources.

Qualifications: Qualified applicants should possess knowledge of naval ships, ship systems, and equipment; and/or have experience as a defense journalist, naval officer, or defense consultant. A working knowledge of the English language is required.

Product Development Subcontractor (Part-time Contractor)

Key Role: Analyze data and write news articles, market forecast reports, and market assessments on unmanned systems including air, ground, naval surface and subsurface systems. Assist with customer interaction. Monitor worldwide unmanned systems market trends. Participate in the building of the unmanned systems database. Establish the data files and organization of those files. Research written materials and online sources. Write reports and descriptions of unmanned systems. Contact primary sources to acquire product specifications and updated data. Participate in the development of a marketing plan to launch the unmanned systems product. Assist with customer interaction. Travel to trade shows to gather product information.

Qualifications: Experience working with unmanned systems and a working knowledge of military and civilian unmanned systems and associated sensor and weapons payloads. Experience in populating an Excel 2007 database a must. Sales & marketing background a plus along with the ability to launch products. Knowledge of desktop publishing to enhance product a plus. Experience working with unmanned systems.Research skills both in written materials and online. Work from home with ability to meet at the downtown Bremerton, WA office occasionally. Position approximately 20 hours a week.

Naval Market Advisor - Department: Advisory Services

Key Role:  Naval Market Advisors provide advisory services to the domestic and international manufacturers, shipbuilders, and governments. Collection and analysis of domestic and international naval market information, preparation of market assessments and analysis, and addressing competitive market management issues is the focus of this position. Advisors deal directly with clients to enhance their ability to

Qualifications:  Extensive knowledge in naval ships and systems required, US or foreign navy service a plus, or experience in international affairs. Strong research and analytical background, oral, written, and presentation skills in a professional business setting are required. Experience necessary in competitive market analysis projects as well as expertise in Microsoft Office and Internet researching. Candidate must be a proven self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Creative problem solving skills needed. Team player needed to work smoothly and effectively with company colleagues and clients. Fluency in a foreign language helpful.

Naval Market Analyst

Key Role:  Collect, analyze, produce, and disseminate actionable competitive intelligence-based assessments of the international naval ship construction and modernization market to a wide-range of domestic and international clients. Prepare in-depth country and product studies, monthly update reports. Anticipate and satisfy client's competitive intelligence requirements. Perform competitive intelligence collection, research primary and secondary sources. Interview government and industry officials to obtain needed information. Follow international industry trends in: trade press, business and government publications, and Internet. Support company's consulting, sales and marketing, and new product development efforts.

Qualifications:  Knowledge of naval ships and systems required. US Navy service a plus. Experience: Naval Intelligence Analyst; background in defense industry; completed studies in international business and/or naval history and warfare. Strong research and analytical background required; experience in effective competitive analysis of technical markets. Fluency in a foreign language desired.

Foreign Naval Market In-Country

Key Role:  In-Country Agents are those who live in and will serve as foreign country or foreign regional naval experts to assist AMI's knowledge of current and future naval procurement initiatives: new ship construction, modernization, decommissionings and ship transfers & receipts. Individuals will assist in the collection and analysis of information from original in-country sources.
